Sie ist benannt nach dem Mathematiker <a href="Hermann_Hankel" title="Hermann Hankel">Hermann Hankel</a>. <p>Möchte man umgekehrt die Hankel-Transformierte der konstanten Einsfunktion berechnen, stößt man beim Einsetzen in die Integraldarstellung auf ein divergentes Integral. Aufgrund von <a href="Dichte_Teilmenge" title="Dichte Teilmenge">Dichtheitsargumenten</a> ist es trotzdem möglich, die Delta-Distribution als Hankel-Transformierte der konstanten Einsfunktion aufzufassen.
